According to Snowbirdsadvisor.ca  Home Insurance requires homes to be checked (Interior and Exterior) every 72 hours, ensuring that their homes are secure and well maintained while they are away from the home.

Interior Check:

• Doors and windows for damage & security
• Water damage & leaks
• Run faucets, flush toilets
• Water heater
• Furnace check
• Interior climate monitoring
• Appliances & Electrical Panel check
• Indoor plants watered
• Check for unnatural smells, rodent & insect presence
• Check for unusual odors’ and noises
• Check all gas appliances including BBQ’s for gas leaks
• Check refrigerator functions
• Check security system
• Run Garb-orator
• Adjusts window blinds
• Check lights and timers
• Check car battery charging system

•Look around the yard for anything unusual
•Check for visible pest infestations
•Check for visible drainage issues
•Inspect all points of entry, including windows
•Check the condition of landscaping and fencing
•Inspect the pool, hot tub, and any outbuildings (if necessary)
•Collect newspapers and parcels from the porch 
•Check the placement of trash and recycling bins (if required)

Home Watch Fees
Daily check - $20.00 per day
Every 2 days - $23.00 per day
Every 3 days - $25.00 per day
Weekly - $45.00

Out of Swift Current Home Watch add $ 0.75 per km's to Home Watch fee
​Home Watch Report will be sent electronically to owner after each inspection takes place.
